Echeveria agavoides is a Mexican native succulent that forms compact rosettes of triangular, fleshy leaves green with red margins, often called Lipstick Echeveria, with an almost stemless habit, rosettes typically 4 to 6 inches tall and 8 to 12 inches in diameter, and the plant bears pink to coral red bell shaped flowers on tall stalks up to about 12 inches high, for cultivation provide well draining soil and bright light from full sun to partial shade, water sparingly letting the soil dry completely between waterings, and avoid overwatering, the plant is drought tolerant and hardy in zones 9 to 11, well suited for containers and rock gardens, and well suited to Southwest or desert themed landscapes, propagation is easy via offsets, stem cuttings, or leaf cuttings, fertilization is not required
